This review is going to look at one of the longest established casino brands. Karamba has been in operation since 2005, and over the intervening years it has gained a reputation for trustworthiness and fair dealing. Karamba has chosen not to go down the route of extensive graphics and additional gimmicks. Instead it concentrates on getting you quick access to the games you want to play, and on providing a great customer experience. Karamba Casino Games & Slot Machines
As you would expect from a casino that’s been on the scene for such a long time, Karamba has built up working partnerships with all the top casino game providers. In terms of slots, the feeling here is very much “quality not quantity”, and although the number of video slots on offer here (just over 200) is dwarfed by most other casinos out there, the quality of games here is first class. Because there’s a smaller number, it’s easy to scroll through and find something you want to play. There’s a minimal filtering option available (All games, new games, video slots, classic slots, casino games, and featured games are your categories) as well as a name search. All games are then displayed on the same page, and you can scroll through to find something interesting.
It’s nice to see classic slots getting its own (small) section, but the casino games on offer only number 16 in total, which isn’t going to keep casino table game fans entertained for long. Having said that, once again the quality is very good indeed, with superb versions of roulette, blackjack and baccarat available.
If instant win is your thing, Karamba is one of the few casinos to offer a dedicated section for scratchcards. You’ll find a reasonable selection here, including some exclusive games, and this should be enough to meet the needs of most players who are looking for a quick hit, or maybe something different to play quickly after a session at the slots or at a card table.
My one criticism is that there are no progressive jackpot games here. However, this is more than made up by the fact that every game has its own comprehensive information page with full game stats, odds, play instructions and even a best strategy guide. Karamba Live Casino
Karamba’s live casino offering is a very new addition and is growing. Of the 9 live tables currently available, 6 are new at the time of writing. You can play live baccarat, live roulette and live blackjack, each with at least 2 or 3 different variants. Look and feel is very similar to the desktop experience, as you’d hope, and the menu system has been thoughtfully designed to work well with touchscreen. If you’ve got a decent mobile internet service or your gaming over wifi then the games load quickly, and the whole experience is pleasant and trouble free.
We tested with a range of mobile devices running iOS, Android and Windows phone and found absolutely no problems. We also hear that it works fine with latest generation Blackberry devices, but we didn’t have one here to test ourselves.
There are fewer games to play here on mobile than on desktop, and that’s mainly due to technology restrictions and the high quality games that Karamba.com have chosen to go with. There are over 30 games, so I think that the mobile experience here works best as an extension of your desktop play, rather than a standalone mobile casino that most people would be attracted to.

They offer a range of options to getting help, including a standard UK landline number to call to speak to a member of the team. Because it’s not premium rate it will be included in most people’s call allowance on their landline or mobile contracts, so no additional cost to call up for help.
You can also drop them an email on care@karamba.com, or you can use the online live chat during support opening hours. This is available via a discrete hovering button on every page, or via the on screen menu system.
In my testing I found the Karamba team to be extremely professional, helpful and with a really customer-focused “can do” attitude. The chat system was answered within 90 seconds every time I tried it, and phone support always answered within 10 rings. Email took a little longer than I would have expected, with an average of a 3 hour response time, and sometimes as long as 7 hours. If you’ve got an urgent enquiry I’d use chat or phone.
One innovation I really liked was the availability of a secure document upload system. This made it incredibly easy to send in screenshots or ID verification documents direct to my account without having to attach to an email. A nice touch more casinos should adopt in my opinion.
There’s also a nicely laid out and well-written “Getting Started” FAQ in the main menu that covers all the key areas that a new member would want to know.
In terms of payment methods for deposits and withdrawals, you can usual all the usual methods, including Mastercard/VISA credit and debit cards, direct bank deposit, Paysafe Card, Skrill, and Neteller.
