Hello, my name’s Ed Roberts. I’m a semi-professional gambler and one of the panel of experts who write casino reviews here at GamblingInformation.com.
Today we’re looking at one of the nicest-looking of the new breed of “themed” casinos, CasinoHeroes.com. This is an extremely well put together online casino that’s got a unique mix of traditional casino and slot games alongside an immersive role-playing scenario set across 3 different fantasy maps.
Some themed casinos can take things too far, and make things too much like a video game, which is really off-putting if you’re a serious gambler or you just want to get straight to some relaxing slots or poker action.
Thankfully CasinoHeroes.com has got the mix just right – if you want to play along with the theme and go on “quests” and other fun diversions, you can. However, if you just want to get stuck in to the gaming action, that’s no problem either.
No matter how you play, this is a very nicely designed casino with a lot to offer. In fact we were so impressed with our experiences that we approached the casino to see if we could arrange an exclusive sign up bonus just for our readers. I’m pleased to say they were happy to help, so let’s look at how CasinoHeroes.com works.
CasinoHeroes Casino Games & Slot Machines
As I mentioned, the theme here is based on role-playing a hero character across 3 different video-game type worlds. Just like in video games you can, if you wish, personalise an avatar and journey around 3 different themed maps.
Here are the different worlds and the description of each provided by CasinoHeroes.com:
Treasure Island: “Treasure Island dwellers loved playing casino games under the prosperous rule of the King. But now that dastardly dragon Betser has stolen the King’s Golden Crown… Head east, take it back and get showered with rewards!”
Rock of Riches: “Nasty mafioso Boss, Unibetser, has hatched a devious plan to steal all our big wins by building the ultimate slot machine, made out of pure gold! Charge up the mountain, defeat him and lay siege to his incredible machine.”
Mythical Mountains: “Watch your step while traversing the Mythical Mountains! A holy grail, hidden at the top, has been cursed and has transformed its protectors into evil Bosses. Move forward, break the curse and grab that grail!”
Quite a lot of concept planning and design has gone into these, and if this extra level of “gamification” is your thing, then you’ll really love this additional layer of involvement. However, as I said, you don’t have to get involved if you don’t want to, and underneath the theme is a really strong casino games offering.
The first big positive is that this casino is paying top dollar to use games from the industry’s top providers – NetEnt, Betsoft, and Play’N’Go. They’ve also made sure that there is a good quantity of these top quality games to play, including live tables. A great range of slots includes plenty of progressive jackpot games, and there’s a solid range of casino favourites. You can also find a somewhat smaller selection of table games and video poker offerings.
With so many games to choose from, finding one that you want to play could have been tricky had the casino not implemented a really powerful search and filter function. If you don’t know where to start, every section has a helpful “recommended” and “what’s hot” list which can help you find the perfect game for you.
All the menus are well laid out, and navigating around is easy and stress-free, with all the games having a fullscreen mode option which makes things much more immersive. However thanks to the large amount of graphics and animations I can’t recommend using a low power or older computer – things do slow down a bit on older hardware.
CasinoHeroes Live Casino
Adding live casino tables has been a recent innovation for CasinoHeroes.com. They said that they have responded to customer demand, and they are starting in a modest way. I really like this approach, as it shows that not only do they listen to their customers, but they also make sure that things work well before rolling anything out on a large scale.
For now you’ve got the option of a few tables each of live poker, roulette and blackjack. The choice is quite limited at the moment, so if a good variety of live tables is what you’re looking for then this isn’t going to hold your interest. Having said that, this is a great place to start for live casino beginners as you won’t be overwhelmed with choice as can happen at some of the bigger live casinos out there.
CasinoHeroes tells us that the rollout has gone well, and they’ve deliberately chosen high-quality live game providers, so it looks like they’ll be increasing the number of live tables as the year goes on.
As mentioned, the CasinoHeroes website is quite graphically advanced, and I really can’t recommend trying to run it from a mobile browser. A much better option is to download the CasinoHeroes app. It’s available for Android and iOS and it does a very good job of giving you the desktop experience on a small screen.
I tried the app with iPhone and Samsung brand android phones and it ran quickly and smooth. Others in our team have tried it on android tablets and other android brands and reported no issues. I’d still recommend that you use a fairly recent phone, though, in order to get the very best experience.
CasinoHeroes Bonus & Free Spins
CasinoHeroes.com does offer all new players a standard welcome bonus package, but as I mentioned we’ve reached out to them and we have secured an exclusive extra welcome bonus available for our readers who sing up via the GamblingInformation.com link.
New players that register with Casino Heroes via GamblingInfmation.com receive an EXCLUSIVE £50 Welcome package.
When opening your account you get to choose your currency, meaning you can gamble in Euro or sterling. Just bear in mind that you can’t change your account’s currency once it’s been successfully opened.
I’m always very critical when it comes to assessing casino support features. I feel it’s the true test of the company behind the glossy marketing. I never recommend casinos where they put customer service anywhere other than top.
Based on my experiences I’m happy to rate the support offered by CasinoHeroes as “good”. There a a couple of minor issues which stop it being “excellent” which I’ll cover below.
If you need to speak to someone you can email or use a live chat option, the button for which helpfully floats at the bottom of every page – always handy, but never in the way. During testing at different times I’ve had response times varying from 3 minutes down to just a few seconds. Replies come from real people and not chatbots, and answers to emails never seem to take around an hour or two to come back.
There’s a small FAQ on the site’s help section which isn’t too easy to find at first, the link being at the bottom of each page in a static section.
This is one of the things I marked them down a little for, and also because they don’t have a telephone support option, and they are not staffed 24 hours – operating between 9am and midnight CET 7 days per week, which is a little early for UK gamblers as that’s 11pm our time.
Other than these minor niggles, however, I had all my queries answered promptly and will good humour, so CasinoHeroes is hiring quality people for its support function which is a great sign.
Withdrawing and depositing money to your account is straightforward here. They offer a range of deposit facilities including MasterCard, VISA, iDEAL, Fast Bank Transfer, PugglePay, Neteller, Skrill, and Bank Wire Transfer. Note that some of these are not available depending on your country of residence.
When it comes to withdrawing winnings, the choice is a bit more limited. You can receive your cash through MasterCard, VISA, Neteller, Skrill, and Bank Wire Transfer. CasinoHeroes tell me that they always aim to process withdrawals in under 24 hours, and depending on the method chosen you should then see your money hit your account in anywhere between an hour to 3 to 5 days.
Like all fully regulated casinos you will need to validate your account before you can take any cash out of your account. They’ve made this process simple enough, and it involves taking a clear photo of your ID and proof of address and mailing it to them. They then aim to validate you within 72 hours, although they often seem to get it done quicker than this in the experience of the team here.
